Courthouse Gallery Fine Art is pleased to present “Form Meets Surface,” a show highlighting ceramics by potter Mark Bell and those created from a collaboration with painter William Irvine. Bell and Irvine will give a Gallery Talk about their collaboration on Wednesday, October 14, at 5pm. All are invited.

Bell and Irvine, who are masters in their respective fields, have been collaborating on making porcelain vases and plates since 2015. The pair will talk about the challenges of working together with porcelain, which is made from a specialized, highly refined white ceramic clay body. Porcelain presents unique technical and creative challenges for the two artists due to the smooth, non-porous nature of the material and the unpredictable nature of high-heat firing.
