Cynthia Stroud works in a wide variety of media—bronze, clay, stone, wood—to express the diversity and development of three-dimensional space. The choreography of light and form intrigues Stroud, and this dance is most evident in Isle of Sky with its flock of glistening bronzed birds soaring overhead. Stroud graduated magna cum laude from Maryland Institute Collage of Art, where she majored in sculpture. She also studied at the Philadelphia Collage of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, New York University, Parson’s School of Design, and The New School for Social Research. Her work is widely collected nationally and internationally.
